First Visit

The foundation of a long term relationship is laid at the initial visit.  Our goals for the first visit are to properly diagnose your immediate dental concerns, review your past medical and dental history, and set a path forward that provides for long term optimum dental health. To do this, we will complete a thorough comprehensive dental evaluation including:

  • Review your medical history and discuss any factors that may impact treatment, or oral health
  • Complete an oral cancer screening, including a discussion of personal risk factors
  • A full mouth series of radiographs (x-rays) to serve as a baseline for diagnosis and measuring changes in your dental health in the future
  • A comprehensive evaluation of your periodontal (gum) health
  • Evaluation of your temporo-mandibular joint health (TMJ) and discussion of clinical signs of bruxism(grinding) and clenching
  • Evaluate all existing dental restorations, new cavities, and future areas of concern for your teeth
  • Discussion of aesthetic dental concerns, goals, and desired treatments
  • In most cases, a routine prophylaxis (dental cleaning) will be completed during this visit as well

Please call us at 626-962-5415 or email us to schedule your teeth cleaning or dental exam.

Upon completion, you will be given a detailed treatment plan outlining all proposed treatments that are recommended.  Due to the complexities of dental care, we ask that you allow sixty minutes for your initial visit to our office.
